In Tamil Nadu, there’s an old tradition of vendors who exchange old iron wares for dates (the kind you eat. Okay, the kind which are fruits. Alright, you know what I mean). A while back, I found out that dates where the richest source of iron. But, in TN, the inverse is true too - iron is the richest source of dates. Now the whole thing is so ironic. I also realized that if you drive a rusty old jalopy like I do, the only way you can get any dates is by trading the jalopy in. My head is spinning with the profoundness of my discovery.
